Revving Up: Official Van Pickup Date & Other Happenings
I took a couple weeks off from blogging but I have most definitely been keeping busy online and offline.
I’m just about finished with the home base move and finalizing the sale of my home’s closing date. It’s been a whirlwind with all the folks in/out of my home for various sales and I’m ready to take a break from these transactions. The time is almost here to put the past truly in the past.✌️
Van pickup date was confirmed available starting July 22nd. Of course, as a Product Manager, I live and breathe being the earliest adopter segment, so I am going to pick it up the first day I can!
Note: I’ve updated my travel schedule so it reflects more realistic location visit dates.
I’ve been engaging in all forms of social media, developing my brand(s), marketing techniques, and utilizing new-to-me tools such as Canva. I used to be a hater, however Canva templates have helped make my social post covers for my blogs look extra clean and professional. 🧼
Posted my first few personal TikToks, allowing me to practice getting out of my comfort zone with my known social circle. I can’t believe how easy mobile video editing via CapCut is for TikTok videos. I also purchased a gimbal to improve stabilization and quality of my videos. It’s been fun to use my creativity to develop scripts while using tech to teleprompt them while recording, adding text, image overlays, and more. Hoping that this helps me prepare to introduce high quality #vanlife content on Roadmaps & Roadtrips socials!
Role playing travel with boondocker apps such as iOverlander, Harvest Hosts, and The Dyrt to “find” parking on the routes that I will likely be taking and diving into reviews of how others deemed these locations.
I’m looking forward to the new path in front of me and can’t wait to start creating captivating content to share my journey with remote enthusiasts and van life communities.
Obligatory photo of me enjoying the outdoors.
